Why LOW.MS?

Below are a few reasons why LOW.MS is the ideal place to host your game server.

Instant setup

Your FOUNDRY server is deployed and ready to join within minutes of ordering, fully configured with sensible defaults.

Built for big factories

High clock speed Ryzen CPUs and NVMe storage keep large, complex factories ticking smoothly, because in FOUNDRY the factory, not the player count, is what pushes the hardware.

Automated backups

Scheduled backups protect your world, and one-click restores mean a bad day in the mines never costs you your megabase.

Easy configuration

Server name, password, player limit, autosave, and visibility are all editable from the control panel config editor. No file hunting required.

Always online

Friends can build while you sleep, or the server can pause itself when empty. Either way, nobody has to host from their own PC.

Support that knows the game

Our team runs FOUNDRY servers themselves. If you get stuck, real humans who know the game are a ticket away.

Automatic Cloud Backups

Never lose your FOUNDRY progress again with our advanced cloud backup system. We automatically create regular backups of your game server, ensuring your world, configurations, and player data are always safe.

Our intuitive Backup Manager gives you complete control over your server backups. Easily restore to any previous point, download backups locally, or create manual snapshots before making big changes.

  • Automatic scheduled backups
  • One-click restore functionality
  • Download backups anytime

Top choice in my list

Out of all hosting providers. This is by far the top choice in my list. Simple UI with a mod manager included making it hassle-free when downloading specific mods.

Very helpful and responsive

I opened a ticket for help migrating my server from a different host. The game is Palworld and it isn't a simple process, they did it for me! Very helpful and responsive.

— Justin

Insanely reliable service

Their prices are pretty cheap and I thought they'd cut back on performance but damn was I wrong. The service has been insanely reliable and the Support Team are on their own level!

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about FOUNDRY server hosting.

You can host your own FOUNDRY dedicated server, but it takes ongoing effort: 1) Install SteamCMD. 2) Download the FOUNDRY dedicated server files (App ID 2915550). 3) Configure the app.cfg settings file, ports, and firewall rules. 4) Keep the server updated and running 24/7. With LOW.MS all of that is handled for you. Your server is deployed instantly, updates are one click, backups are automated, and your world stays online even when your own PC is off.

Two ways. If your server is set to public, it appears in the in-game server browser, where friends can find it by name. Alternatively, anyone can use direct connect with your server's IP address and port, which we show in your control panel. You can also set a server password so only your group can join, even if the server is publicly listed.

FOUNDRY is designed around small co-op groups, and there is no hard player cap. The player limit is fully configurable on your server, and most groups play with 2 to 8 players. Larger groups work too. Keep in mind that in FOUNDRY, the size and complexity of your factory affects performance far more than the number of connected players.

All the important settings live in a single settings file (server name, password, world name, player limit, autosave interval, public visibility, and pause-when-empty). You can edit them from your control panel's config editor. Stop the server first, make your changes, then start it again so they take effect.

Yes, if you want it to. FOUNDRY has a built-in pause-server-when-empty option, enabled by default on LOW.MS servers, which freezes the world while nobody is connected. Your factory picks up exactly where it left off when the next player joins. If you would rather your production lines keep running around the clock, turn the option off in your settings file.

Click Steam Update in your control panel and the latest version installs automatically. We recommend taking a backup first, which is also one click. Your world saves and settings are preserved through updates. Everyone joining needs to be on the same game version as the server, so update your server when Steam updates your game client.

Yes. Your world saves live inside your server's own storage on NVMe drives, the server autosaves on a regular interval, and LOW.MS automated backups let you roll back if anything goes wrong. You can also download your save files at any time through the file manager.

Your FOUNDRY is set up instantly after payment, allowing you to start hosting without delays.

Yes! Our user-friendly control panel gives you full control over game modes, maps, and server configurations over your FOUNDRY server.

We provide 24/7 support for your FOUNDRY server through live chat and email to assist you with any questions or technical issues.

What is FOUNDRY

FOUNDRY is a first-person factory-building sandbox set in an endless, fully destructible voxel world. Dig for resources, wire up power grids, and grow a handful of hand-fed machines into a vast automated industrial complex. Because every block of terrain can be reshaped, your factory can burrow through mountains, span canyons, or sprawl across the surface in whatever layout you can imagine. Multiplayer is where FOUNDRY really shines. A dedicated server keeps your world online around the clock, so friends can drop in, push production forward, and log off again without anyone needing to host from their own PC. As you unlock conveyor networks, robotic arms, and full logistics systems, the factory keeps running even while nobody is connected, and the auto-pause option can freeze time whenever the server is empty. With a LOW.MS server you get instant setup, automated backups, NVMe storage, and high clock speed CPUs. That last part matters: like all factory games, FOUNDRY's performance is driven by the size and complexity of your builds more than by player count, so strong single-core performance keeps a megabase ticking smoothly.

Money-back Guarantee

We are confident that you'll be happy with our service. If on the rare occasion there is a problem with your service, we will do our absolute best to get things working for you, or you can simply ask for your money back.

We have a full 5 day money-back guarantee on all our game server hosting. No questions asked.

You can host it yourself. Here's what that costs.

Doable, but the gap between 'it boots' and 'your crew can actually log in' is where most home setups fall over. Here's what self-hosting FOUNDRY signs you up for, and what we handle if you'd rather skip it.

If you go DIY
~2-4 hrs · ongoing
  1. 01
    Pull it down with SteamCMD

On a Windows box, grab SteamCMD, open a terminal in its folder, then run steamcmd +login anonymous +force_install_dir C:\foundryserver +app_update 2915550 validate +quit. A spare desktop or mini-PC works, but if you plan to build a megabase, the server cares more about single-core speed and fast storage than about player count.

Step 01 · The install command
    $ steamcmd +login anonymous +app_update 2915550 validate +quit
  2. 02
    Punch holes in the network

Forward 3724/UDP (game) and 27015/UDP (Steam query) on your router to the host machine's LAN IP, then add matching inbound rules in Windows Firewall. This is where most home setups fall over, especially if your ISP puts you behind CGNAT.

  3. 03
    Edit
app.cfg
by hand

Stop the server, open app.cfg in the server folder, and set the basics: server name, password, world name, player limit, autosave interval, public visibility, and the pause-when-empty option. Save it, start the server again, and hope you didn't typo something that makes it boot with defaults.

  4. 04
    Start it, then test joining

Launch the dedicated server executable and watch the console until it is clearly listening on the expected ports, then try connecting from a client using direct connect to YourPublicIP:3724. If it only works on your home network, you just learned the difference between LAN and WAN the annoying way, and your upload speed now dictates everyone else's experience.

  5. 05
    Keep it running forever

Now you get to run an always-on PC: power settings, sleep states, Windows reboots, and the moment someone trips a breaker your 24/7 server becomes "whenever I'm home". Patch days are extra fun because the server and every client need matching versions, and you should be making your own backups, because save corruption is a matter of when, not if.

  6. 06
    Be the on-call admin

When players can't see the server, it's you checking port forwards, firewall rules, and logs late at night, not a magic button. You'll eventually have a little folder of known fixes and a big pile of "why is it doing that".

Or skip 1-6
~5 min

Check out at the top of this page and we handle all six steps.

  • Server live in under 5 minutes

Panel access and connection details land in your inbox the moment payment clears. Share with your crew and start playing.

  • Pick a datacentre near your players

12 locations to choose at checkout, so ping stays low without your home upload doing the heavy lifting.

  • Automatic backups, on a schedule

Saves snapshot in the background while you play. Browse and restore previous backups from the panel any time.

  • DDoS protection on by default

No router config, no port forwarding, no firewall fights. Network filtering sits in front of your server from the first minute.

  • Restore yesterday's save in one click

If a patch or a mod breaks the world, roll back to a known-good snapshot from the panel. Takes seconds.
