What is OPEN//77
OPEN//77 is an open, community-run multiplayer platform for Cyberpunk 2077. It is not one big server: it is the client, dedicated server and Lua scripting layer that lets communities run their own persistent Night City, from strict roleplay cities to racing leagues, PvP and freeroam worlds. Players find community servers in the OPEN//77 launcher's server browser and join the one they want. OPEN//77 is in Alpha, so expect bugs and changes as it develops. Every OPEN//77 server at LOW.MS starts with the Freeroam gamemode ready to play, and we create a MySQL database for it so characters, careers and race maps are kept between restarts. Warden, OPEN//77's own browser admin panel, is served over HTTPS on its own address with a login we create for you, so there is no setup PIN or SSH tunnel to deal with. Workshop resources and the mods your world requires are installed from Warden. You bring a free server licence key from your account at open2077.net, and our panel asks for it the first time you open your server. Server name, visibility, max players, tick rate, language, and the website and Discord links shown in the server browser are all set from the panel. Automatic backups cover your server files and the database. OPEN//77 is an independent community project and is not affiliated with CD PROJEKT RED. Everyone who joins needs their own copy of Cyberpunk 2077 with Phantom Liberty, and OPEN//77 Alpha access.
