Why LOW.MS?
Below are a few reasons why LOW.MS is the ideal place to host your game server.
Console and mobile players welcome
One world your friends can join from a phone, a Switch, an Xbox, a PlayStation or a PC, without a bridge or a proxy in the middle.
Bring your existing world
Upload a single player or Realms world and carry on where you left off, with your builds and your progress intact.
Automatic backups
Worlds get backed up on a schedule and restored from the panel, so a bad night is an inconvenience rather than a loss.
Behaviour and resource packs
Install and manage packs from the panel to change gameplay, mobs, loot and visuals across the whole server.
Allowlist and operators
Decide who gets in and who gets commands, edited from the panel instead of a text file over FTP.
Update on your terms
Take a Mojang release when your packs and add-ons are ready for it, rather than the moment it lands.
Automatic Cloud Backups
Your Minecraft: Bedrock Edition worlds, settings and mod configuration are backed up to the cloud automatically. Keep up to 20 backups per server and lock the ones that matter so they are never cleared to make room.
From the Backups tab in the LOW.MS control panel you can restore any backup in one click, download a copy to your PC, or take a manual backup before a big change.
- Automatic scheduled backups, stored off your server
- Lock important backups so they are never overwritten
- One-click restore, or download any backup to your PC
- Included with every Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server, no extra cost
Backups include your worlds and mod settings. Locked ones are never deleted to make room.

Top choice in my list
Out of all hosting providers. This is by far the top choice in my list. Simple UI with a mod manager included making it hassle-free when downloading specific mods.

Very helpful and responsive
I opened a ticket for help migrating my server from a different host. The game is Palworld and it isn't a simple process, they did it for me! Very helpful and responsive.

Insanely reliable service
Their prices are pretty cheap and I thought they'd cut back on performance but damn was I wrong. The service has been insanely reliable and the Support Team are on their own level!

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server hosting.
They are separate pieces of software running separate protocols. Java Edition servers expect the Java client, which runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. Bedrock Dedicated Servers expect the Bedrock client, which is what runs on Windows 10 and 11, iOS, Android, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. If your players are on consoles or phones, a Bedrock server is the direct answer. There is a bridge, GeyserMC, which lets Bedrock clients join a Java server by translating between the two, and we cover it on our Java Minecraft page. It works well but it is a proxy with its own quirks, so if your community is mostly Bedrock, running an actual Bedrock server is simpler.
Yes, though consoles make it awkward on purpose. PlayStation, Xbox and Switch players can join third party servers, but the console UI does not always expose a way to type in a custom server address, so players often use a DNS workaround or add the server through a companion app. We will document the current method for each console when the product launches.
Not in the Java sense. The official Bedrock Dedicated Server uses behaviour packs and resource packs, which change gameplay and visuals through data and scripting rather than server plugins. If you want plugin style extensibility, third party server software provides it. The two worth looking at in 2026 are PowerNukkitX and Endstone. Older guides point at PocketMine-MP and Nukkit, but both were archived by their maintainers, so treat any tutorial recommending them as out of date.
Yes. A Bedrock world is a folder, and the server reads it the same way the game does, so an existing single player or Realms world can be uploaded and used as the server world. We will support world upload from the panel, along with automatic backups so you are not relying on one copy of it.
The default in `server.properties` is ten, and you raise it yourself. There is no low hard cap the way older Minecraft servers had, so the practical limit is your hardware and how much your world is doing. Redstone, mob farms, loaded chunks and simulation distance drive the load far more than raw player count.

What is Minecraft: Bedrock Edition
Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is the version that runs on Windows, iOS, Android, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, and a Bedrock Dedicated Server is the straightforward way to give all of those players one shared world. If your friends play on phones or consoles, this is the server you want. Mojang publishes the Bedrock Dedicated Server for Windows and Linux, and it is a genuinely different piece of software from the Java server: different config file, different addon format, different permissions model. Behaviour packs and resource packs replace Java plugins, and third-party server software such as PowerNukkitX or Endstone opens up plugin support for anyone who wants it. We already host Java Edition. Bedrock is the missing half, and we are building the template now: world uploads, behaviour and resource pack management, allowlist and operator editing, automatic backups, and control over when a Mojang release lands on your world. Watch this page for the order button.
