What is Assetto Corsa
Assetto Corsa is over a decade old and still the centre of the sim racing world, because nothing else has its modding scene. Custom Shaders Patch and Sol rebuild the lighting and weather, Content Manager replaces the launcher entirely, and the community has produced thousands of cars and tracks, the best of them built from laser scan or LiDAR survey data. A league running that content needs a dedicated server, and not as an upgrade: Assetto Corsa has no in-game hosting at all, so multiplayer runs entirely through a separate server application. The Assetto Corsa dedicated server is a small, well understood piece of software that has been running leagues for years. On a hosted server you control the entry list, the practice, qualifying and race structure, tyre and fuel rules, damage, and the exact car and track combination, and every driver connects to the same content every week. That consistency is the whole point of a league. We are templating Assetto Corsa now, with content upload for cars and tracks, full session and entry list editing, and admin controls from the panel.
