What is American Truck Simulator
American Truck Simulator is the long haul across the western United States: real interstates, real cities, and a map that SCS has been extending state by state for years. Convoy multiplayer lets a group run the same roads together, and a dedicated server is what turns that from an occasional session into a haulage company with a schedule. The convoy server keeps the session alive independently of any one player. Drivers join and leave without collapsing the convoy, you set the rules on traffic, damage and collisions, and your group has a fixed address rather than a lobby that only exists while one person is at their desk. Virtual trucking companies, which are a genuinely large scene, run on exactly this. We already host Euro Truck Simulator 2, and ATS is the other half of the same audience. One thing worth understanding before you order either: the convoy server is a session host and holds no game content of its own. The DLC and mod set your convoy runs comes from a package exported out of a player's copy of the game, which means adding a new map DLC is something you do, not something a host can do for you. We are templating ATS now, with server config editing and admin tools from the panel. Watch this page for the order button.
