Conan Exiles Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Three (10 November): Akhamet's Bigger Role, Plus Enhanced on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Three lands in Conan Exiles Enhanced on 10 November, with a bigger role for Akhamet. What Funcom has said, what your server needs to do on the day, and what the console launch and cross-play mean for PC servers.

Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Three comes to Conan Exiles Enhanced on 10 November, and Akhamet takes a bigger role in it. That's nearly all Funcom has said so far: no patch notes, no patch number and no public beta yet, with "more details" promised closer to release. Your server will need the game update on the day, and with Part Two's mod change still fresh, it's worth checking your mods before your players log in.

What's in the update

Part Three is the third of four free updates in the Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc. Funcom announced it on 27 October, in the same post that confirmed Conan Exiles Enhanced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and repeated the date in its 29 October community update: "New patch and story content coming November 10th for PC players."

Akhamet takes a bigger role

The announcement is short. Funcom's words: "This time Akhamet will be taking on a bigger role in the quest", adding that Akhamet may become "a bigger part of your experience going forward". Akhamet has been part of the arc from the start: Part Two opened on "the events surrounding Akhamet and the Cyclopean Halls", the dungeon Part One added.

What that means in Part Three, which region it happens in and whether it adds new enemies, spells or thralls are all still unannounced. Funcom's 29 October community update says more details "will be revealed closer to release", so expect patch notes before the 10th.

Where Part Two left things

Part Three follows Patch 3.0.0 (6 October), which opened rifts in enemy camps across the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah, added four sorcery spells and brought back the Mi-Go. Hotfix 3.0.1 followed two days later and "addresses the most impactful issues introduced with patch 3.0.0", including a crash when checking the Player List on official servers. Our Part Two breakdown covers what that patch changed for servers.

What your server needs to do

  1. Before 10 November: check that your mods, especially ones that share assets with other mods, have been updated since Patch 3.0.0. That patch added this rule: "Assets shared between mods must now sit in a subfolder under Shared that matches the mod's name. Improperly named shared assets (for example Mods/SomeMod/Shared/OtherMod) are ignored with a warning." Funcom says those assets are simply ignored, so a mod can look loaded while missing pieces.
  2. On the day: take a backup, then update the server once Funcom's patch is out. Players get the new version through Steam.
  3. Start the server and check your mods before players join. If something is missing in game, check the server log for a warning about shared mod assets.
  4. Expect a hotfix. Part Two needed one two days after release, so a second update in the same week would not be unusual.

Self-hosting? The dedicated server is Steam app 443030, and the world database lives in the ConanSandbox\Saved folder, so back that up first:

steamcmd +login anonymous +app_update 443030 validate +quit

Steam lists no public test branch for the dedicated server, so you can't run Part Three on your own server before it's live. Funcom has opened a Public Beta Client about a week before each of the last two patches, so one may appear in early November.

Tip: On a LOW.MS server, Create backup on the Backups tab takes the backup, and the Update button on the Game updates card on the Overview tab installs the new build (the server stops and restarts while it runs). Check for updates on the Mods tab shows which mods you installed there have new versions, and Update all installs them. All of it is in the control panel.

Conan Exiles Enhanced is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

The same post announced Conan Exiles Enhanced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in "Early 2027, release date to be announced". It's a free upgrade for existing console owners, and the Legacy of the Giant-Kings content, Part Three included, will be "available on consoles at launch".

Cross-play is the headline for PC server owners: "Yes, full cross-play is coming to Conan Exiles Enhanced, soon after launch." Funcom hasn't said how cross-play will work for private servers, or whether console players will be able to join a PC-hosted one.

On consoles, Funcom is repeating what happened when Enhanced launched on Steam:

  • Isle of Siptah servers merge into the Exiled Lands. The island's coordinates changed when the two maps were combined, so "bases on the Isle of Siptah cannot be preserved in the Enhanced update."
  • Official Exiled Lands servers carry over with characters, followers and bases intact.
  • Single-player saves move to Enhanced but not back. "Once a save is loaded in Enhanced, it can no longer be opened in Legacy."
  • Console Legacy keeps critical bug fixes only, with no Bazaar and no official servers.

For the switch itself, Funcom says it will share more on "how players and private server hosts can prepare for this closer to release".

What's coming next

  • 10 November: Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Three. No release time yet. Funcom posted Part Two's patch notes at 14:00 UTC, the same time as its other recent patches.
  • Early 2027: Conan Exiles Enhanced on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, "release date to be announced". Full cross-play follows "soon after launch".
  • Part Four: no date. Funcom's June announcement describes the arc as "four free updates".

FAQ

Do players need to buy anything for Part Three?

No. Funcom announced Legacy of the Giant-Kings as "four free updates", and Part Three is the third. Players still need the Isle of Siptah DLC to reach the Siptah half of the merged map.

What time does Part Three go live?

Funcom hasn't said. It posted Part Two's patch notes at 14:00 UTC, the same time as its other recent patches, but hasn't confirmed a time for Part Three, so watch Funcom's Steam news on the day.

Will Part Three wipe my server?

Nothing in the announcement mentions a wipe, and Part Two's patch notes didn't either. Funcom hasn't published Part Three's notes yet, so take a backup before you update anyway.

Will a server on the Legacy (UE4) branch get Part Three?

No. Part Three is for Conan Exiles Enhanced only. The Legacy branch has had the odd maintenance hotfix since Enhanced launched (R15.2 in July), but no new content, and Funcom said at launch it would not get any.

Can console players join my PC server once cross-play arrives?

Funcom hasn't said. Cross-play is promised "soon after launch" of the console version in early 2027, and nothing in the announcement covers private servers and cross-play yet.

Will Part Three break my mods?

Nobody knows until the patch notes are out. Patch 3.0.0 changed how mods share assets and Patch 2.2.0 forced every mod to be rebuilt, so check the Mods tab after the first start and look at each mod's Workshop page if something seems off.
