Insanely reliable service
Their prices are pretty cheap and I thought they'd cut back on performance but damn was I wrong. The service has been insanely reliable and the Support Team are on their own level!

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about Minecraft server hosting.
We support Vanilla, Paper, Spigot, Forge, Fabric, and NeoForge. If you're not sure which to pick – Paper is what I'd recommend for most people. It runs all your Bukkit and Spigot plugins but with noticeably better performance. Forge and NeoForge are for modpacks (NeoForge is the modern successor and what most new modpacks use). Fabric is the lightweight option, popular with performance-focused setups.
Depends on what you're doing. 2 GB works for a tiny vanilla server with a couple of friends. 4 GB handles vanilla or Paper with up to 10 players comfortably. Once you start adding plugins and getting 10-20 players on, you'll want 6–8 GB. Modpacks are where it gets hungry – light packs (50-80 mods) need 8–10 GB, and heavy packs like ATM or RLCraft want 12–16 GB. Check our [Minecraft server hosting page](/game-servers/minecraft) for the full range of plans.
Plugins (for Paper/Spigot) add features server-side – your players don't need to install anything. Mods (for Forge/Fabric/NeoForge) change the game itself, so every player needs the same mods installed on their client. You can't mix plugins and mods on the same server, with rare exceptions like Mohist which tries to bridge both worlds.
Yes, using the GeyserMC plugin. It translates Bedrock packets to Java so players on mobile, console, and Windows 10/11 can connect. You'll also want Floodgate alongside it – that lets Bedrock players join without needing a separate Java account.
Minecraft 26.1 and newer requires Java 25. Older versions from 1.20.5 through 1.21.x need at least Java 21. Anything older than 1.20.5 runs fine on Java 17. We keep our servers on the right Java version for whatever Minecraft release you're running.
We run automatic cloud backups that you can restore with one click from the Cloud Restore option in your [control panel](https://control.low.ms). You can also create manual backups anytime through Cloud Backup in the sidebar – I'd always do one before updating mods or making big world changes.
Yep. Upload your world folder through File Manager in the [control panel](https://control.low.ms) or connect via SFTP. Then update the `level-name` setting in server.properties to match the folder name and restart. That's it – your world should load right up.
The biggest wins, in order: use Paper instead of Vanilla or Spigot, drop your view-distance to 6–8 and simulation-distance to 4–6, pre-generate your world with the Chunky plugin so the server isn't generating chunks on the fly, and set a world border. If you're on a modded server, check our [Server Configuration Guide](/knowledgebase/minecraft-server-configuration) for Paper-specific tuning options that make a real difference.
Your Minecraft is set up instantly after payment, allowing you to start hosting without delays.
Yes! Our user-friendly control panel gives you full control over game modes, maps, and server configurations over your Minecraft server.
We provide 24/7 support for your Minecraft server through live chat and email to assist you with any questions or technical issues.

What is Minecraft
Minecraft is the game that kicked off the whole server hosting industry, and it's still the one we get more orders for than anything else. Whether you're running a small vanilla survival world for a few friends or a heavily modded community server with dozens of plugins, the hosting requirements vary a lot – which is why we offer plans from 2 GB all the way up to 24 GB of RAM. We support every major server type: Paper (our recommendation for most people), Spigot, Forge, Fabric, and NeoForge. Paper gives you the best performance out of the box and runs the full Bukkit/Spigot plugin ecosystem. If you're into modpacks, Forge handles the legacy packs while NeoForge is where most new modpack development has moved. Every Minecraft server comes with DDoS protection, automatic cloud backups you can restore with one click, full file access through our control panel at control.low.ms, and 24/7 support if you get stuck. We also offer a Latest CPU upgrade if you want guaranteed Ryzen 7950X or 9950X hardware – which makes a real difference for chunk generation and TPS on busy servers.
