Satisfactory servers now run on Nexus, our new control panel at panel.low.ms. The move brings you three things:
- One-click mods straight from ficsit.app.
- A save of your world before every stop.
- A server that is set up so you can start building the moment it's ready.
Here's what each of those means for your server.
Mods from ficsit.app, in one click
Open the Mods tab and you can browse every Satisfactory mod on ficsit.app that has a server build. That's over a thousand of them. Find the one you want and click install.
We handle the fiddly parts for you:
- The Satisfactory Mod Loader goes on automatically. You don't need to install SML first, and the same goes for any other mod your mod depends on.
- You get a version that fits your server. We read which build of Satisfactory your server is running and pick the newest release of the mod that supports it. If you need a specific release, you can pick that instead.
- Clashes get caught before anything is installed. If two mods need versions of the same library that can't both be satisfied, we tell you which ones conflict. You aren't left with a server that won't start.
- Every download is verified against ficsit.app's checksum before it touches your server.
Most mods also have to be installed on each player's game. Those are marked Players must install this too in the panel, so you know what to tell your friends before they join. The Satisfactory Mod Manager on their PC takes care of their side.
How installing a mod works
- Open the Mods tab in the panel.
- Browse or search the ficsit.app mods that have a server build.
- Click install. We pick the newest release that supports your server's build of Satisfactory, unless you choose a specific release.
- We add the Satisfactory Mod Loader and any other dependencies, check for conflicts and verify each download against ficsit.app's checksum.
- If the mod is marked Players must install this too, ask your friends to install it with the Satisfactory Mod Manager before they join.
Your factory is saved before every stop
The Satisfactory server only writes its save at certain points. On a lot of hosts, that means a stop or restart can lose your last stretch of building.
Ours tells the server to save first every time it stops. That applies whether you restart it, we update it or it's moved to another machine.
Set up and protected from the start
A new Satisfactory server sits unclaimed until someone opens the Server Manager and claims it, and that someone could be anyone who finds it first. We claim it for you the first time it boots and generate a strong admin password. You'll find the password on the Manage tab, ready for logging into the Server Manager in game.
You set the Server Name and Join Password in the panel, and they're applied every time the server starts.
Every plan comes with 10 GB of RAM as standard. Factory size is what drives Satisfactory's memory use, far more than player count.
Already hosting Satisfactory with us?
We're moving existing Satisfactory servers over to Nexus now. Your factory, saves and server name come across unchanged, along with any mods you'd installed.
There's one thing to know after the move: to keep your world safe, we set a new admin password. If your server had a join password, that was replaced as well, so send the new one to your friends. Both are on the Manage tab in the panel. You'll get an email saying where to find them once your server has moved.
FAQ
Do I need to install the Satisfactory Mod Loader myself?
No. SML goes on automatically, along with any other mod your chosen mod depends on.
Which version of a mod will I get?
The newest release that supports the build of Satisfactory your server is running. You can pick a specific release instead if you need one.
What happens if two mods conflict?
We catch it before anything is installed and tell you which mods conflict.
Do my players need to install mods too?
For most mods, yes. Those are marked Players must install this too in the panel, and players can install them with the Satisfactory Mod Manager on their PC.
Where do I find my admin password?
On the Manage tab in the panel. If your server was moved to Nexus, your new join password is there too.
Will I lose my factory when my server moves to Nexus?
No. Your factory, saves, server name and installed mods come across unchanged.
