Enshrouded supports up to 16 players in co-op. Our plans run from 4 slots up to the full 16-player cap, so pick whatever matches the size of your crew. The Player Slots setting on the Manage tab is tied to your plan.

Enshrouded is RAM-hungry, especially with larger groups spread across several biomes. Every plan comes with 10 GB as standard, and you can add more at checkout or later from your billing area. See the current RAM options on the Enshrouded pricing page.

Yes. Stop the server, open the Files tab, go into `config/savegame` and upload your save files there, then start the server again. We have a step-by-step walkthrough here: Transfer your save to your Enshrouded server.

Not officially. Keen Games have not released a mod SDK, so there is no supported modding pipeline for Enshrouded and no Mods tab on these servers. Community tools like Shroudtopia exist, but they are unofficial and not something we support.

Open the Manage tab and pick a Difficulty Preset: Default, Relaxed, Hard, Survival or Custom. Choosing Custom unlocks the Game Settings group below it, with every tunable the game exposes: player health and stamina, enemy damage and health, resource gain, plant growth, day and night length, tombstone mode and more. Save and restart the server to apply. The presets ignore the Game Settings group entirely, so those sliders only do something on Custom.

Enshrouded does not use a single join password. Instead, every server has four roles, Admin, Friend, Guest and Visitor, each with its own password and its own permissions (kick and ban, open containers, change the world, build in bases, add Flame Altars). The passwords are generated for your server and shown on the Manage tab; give people the password for the role you want them to have. Anyone without one of the four passwords cannot join.

There is no hard rule. Restart after any major game update, and if you run a big group, a nightly restart is cheap insurance. A scheduled Restart task under Scheduled tasks on the Settings tab does it for you. Stopping or restarting from the panel always saves the world first.

Your server does not update itself. When a patch drops, press Update on your server's Overview tab: the panel stops the server, installs the new build and starts it again. Your players need the same game version to connect, so do it as soon as you see the patch. Take a backup from the Backups tab first if the update is a big one. Enshrouded has a single public branch, so there is no way to hold a server on an older build.

You do not need to worry about this. Your server comes with its port already configured, and the address to give your players is at the top of your server's page in the panel. There is nothing to set up or forward.

No. Enshrouded has one handcrafted world, Embervale, and everyone plays on the same map. New regions and content arrive through game updates from Keen Games rather than through server settings. You can still shape how the experience feels with the difficulty preset and the Game Settings group on the Manage tab.
