Evrima, the actively developed branch (you may see it spelled Evirma or Envirma). Legacy is no longer updated by the developers and is not offered on our Nexus servers, and neither is the hordetest public test branch. Your players need The Isle set to the evrima branch under Properties > Betas in Steam to see the server.

Evrima is the current version: a growing roster, nesting, mutations, migrations, diets, dynamic combat with bleed and bone breaks, and the Gateway map. Legacy is the original build, frozen since 2022, with a different dinosaur list, a different save format and its own server list. A Legacy client cannot see an Evrima server, which is the single most common reason a new server 'is not showing up'.

Plans run from 50 to 500 player slots, all with DDoS protection included, and you can change slots and RAM from the panel at any time. Evrima is CPU-bound at high populations, so very large servers sit on our fastest single-core processors.

Open your server in the panel, go to Manage > Settings, and change Growth Multiplier in the Gameplay group. 1 is the game default; 2 to 3 suits most community servers and anything above 5 is a fast-growth server. Save and restart for it to apply.

Yes. Playable Classes under Manage > Settings is a multi-select of every species Evrima offers. Leave it empty to allow all of them, or tick the ones you want for a herbivore-only, no-apex or otherwise themed server. Enabled Mutations works the same way.

Not officially: there is no Steam Workshop and no supported mod loader. Community tools such as UE4SS scripts, IslePilot and IsleVOIP work by injecting code into the server process, which is not something you can install yourself on a shared game server. RCON is fully open, so external Discord bots and admin tools work. If you need a specific plugin, ask support before ordering and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

The panel's Console tab speaks Evrima's custom RCON protocol for you, so kick, ban, announce and save all work from the browser with nothing to install. To connect an external tool or Discord bot, use the RCON port shown on the server page and the RCON Password from Manage > Settings. Standard clients such as mcrcon do not work with Evrima; use an Evrima-specific client like TheIsleEvrimaRCON.

After a start or restart it takes 2 to 5 minutes for the server to register with Epic Online Services and appear. If it is still missing, check the player is on the evrima branch and the same game build as the server; after a patch, run the update from the panel. A server that appears but times out on join is usually a build mismatch or a port problem on our side, so open a ticket with the server name and we will check the node.

Yes, with Allow Server Migration turned on under Manage > Settings. Max Migration Time controls how long a migrated dinosaur can stay away before it is lost. Turn migration off if you want a closed ecosystem.

Every plan starts with 10 GB, which is comfortable for a typical community server. Dense servers with heavy AI and 150 or more players get hungry, so RAM can be raised to 30 GB from the panel without reprovisioning.
