Aska supports up to 4 players per dedicated server session. This is a game-level limit set by the developers.
Yes. Aska launched in Early Access in June 2024 and is under active development. Dedicated server support was added in the November 2024 "Server & Road" update. The developers plan to launch the full version based on community feedback.
Not officially. The developers cannot offer mod support while the game is in early development. Unofficial mods exist on Nexus Mods, but there is no Steam Workshop integration. Official mod support may come after the game leaves Early Access.
Yes. Aska dedicated servers require a free GSLT generated from the Steam Game Server Account Management page using App ID 1898300. Instructions are provided in our Getting Started guide.
By default, the server world automatically pauses when all players disconnect, preventing invasion and raid events from triggering while nobody is playing. You can change this with the "keep server world alive" setting if you want the world to keep running.
Our servers include 10 GB RAM by default, which is comfortable for the 4-player cap and a typical settlement. As your settlement grows with many NPC villagers and structures, you can upgrade to 15, 20, 25, or 30 GB through configurable resources.
Yes. Set the gameplay mode to "custom" in your server properties.txt to unlock settings for invasion difficulty, monster density, creature populations, day and year length, terrain generation, and more.
