StarRupture supports up to 4 players in online co-op on a dedicated server. That's a game-side cap set by the developers, not a LOW.MS limit.
Yes. StarRupture launched into Early Access on 6 January 2026 and the first major content update shipped on 9 April 2026. The developers plan to stay in Early Access for roughly a year, so expect regular patches and the occasional bug.
Mod support is limited but growing. There's no official Steam Workshop integration yet, but community mods are starting to appear via Nexus Mods and manual installs.
All LOW.MS plans include 10 GB RAM as standard, which is plenty for most 2-4 player groups. Complex factory builds (long conveyor networks, many active machines) do better with 15-20 GB — you can upgrade at any time from your control panel.
Launch StarRupture, go to Join Game, open the Dedicated Server tab, and enter the IP and port shown in your LOW.MS Control Panel. The first save does need to be created via Manage Server on the main menu, which catches a lot of first-timers out — see the Getting Started knowledgebase article for a walkthrough.
StarRupture's SaveSync system allows some save-file migration between sessions, though it's still an Early Access feature and rough edges exist. If you're moving a specific save and it's not behaving, open a ticket from your control panel and we'll help.
