Beschreibung

LOW.MS is a game server hosting provider trusted by thousands of players worldwide, offering
high-performance servers across 12 global locations for titles including Rust, Valheim, ARK,
Palworld, and many more. We're building the next generation of our hosting platform —
replacing legacy tooling with a modern, event-driven architecture built on TypeScript,
containers, and AWS.

As a Mid-level Software Engineer, you'll work across the full stack of our platform — from the customer-facing website and control panel to the backend API and node daemon that provisions and manages game servers on bare metal. You'll contribute to a system that handles automated
provisioning, real-time server consoles, container orchestration, and event-driven
communication between distributed services.

Our stack includes TypeScript end-to-end, Fastify and Prisma on the backend, Vue 3 and Nuxt on the frontend, Docker for containerised game servers, and AWS services including IoT Core,
EventBridge, Lambda, and S3. We also integrate AI tooling (Claude, GPT, Gemini) via the Model Context Protocol to enhance our internal and customer-facing workflows.

This is a hands-on role where you'll ship features, fix bugs, improve infrastructure, and help shape the technical direction of a growing platform.

Anforderungen

Essential

  • Professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks, ideally Vue 3 or Nuxt
  • Experience with relational databases and an ORM such as Prisma
  • Comfortable working with REST APIs (we use Fastify)
  • Working knowledge of Docker and containerisation
  • Experience with AWS services or comparable cloud platforms
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) as part of your workflow
  • Solid understanding of Git and collaborative development practices
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Desirable

  • Experience with game server hosting, administration, or the game hosting industry
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (MQTT, EventBridge, message queues)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CDK or Terraform
  • Knowledge of Linux server administration
  • Exposure to serverless patterns (Lambda, SQS)
  • Experience with Stripe or payment integrations
  • Contributions to open source or personal projects demonstrating initiative

Vorteile

  • Fully remote role with flexible working hours
  • Work on a product used by a passionate gaming community
  • Modern tech stack with minimal legacy burden — we're actively replacing older systems, not
    maintaining them
  • Direct impact on product direction in a small, focused team
  • Access to AI development tooling as a core part of the engineering workflow
  • Opportunity to work across the full stack, from frontend to infrastructure
  • Game server access for testing (and playing)

Adjust salary range, team size, and any specific perks as needed — I left those out since I
don't have that information. You may also want to add an "About Us" intro paragraph or a link to your Trustpilot reviews (4.8/5) to strengthen the listing.
